From Casería María Sopeña, you will find several paths taking you through the heartland of the cider district. You will get many kilometres of ancient farmers tracks that will take you from village to village among the pastoral fields of this region and its typical architecture. Besides, you will get beutiful views over Picos de Europa National Park.

All this allows for unlimited options of wonderful hikes leaving directly from the house. The hikes can take you through the valley and you will also have plenty of options to reach the folds and the tops of the sourrounding mountains. As well, you can reach other villages where you can enjoy faboulous meals overlooking the mountain range. Simply said, this is a paradise for hikers trying to avoid the crowds.

Besides, only within thirty kilometres from the houses, you will reach Picos de Europa National Park; Covadonga Sanctuary; plenty of museums; most of the Preromanesque art; some of the world’s most important Prehistoric caves; impressive beaches and surf options such as Ribadesella, Rodiles, La Griega, Vega, Cuevas de Mar or Arenal de Morís; typical fishing villages such as Tazones and Lastres; and many other less known places and impressive landscapes.

The houses are also very close to Sella river, Saint James Way, and the main cities of the region. Therefore, you will also be able to enjoy city leisure if you wish to, as well as the historical centres of Oviedo, Gijón and Avilés.
